National audienceUnlike the national public opinion poll. built on individual surveys, the analysis based onelectoral results shows the existence of spatial differences on large geographical scales, moreparticularly in urban areas. In this perspective, this paper tries to explore the relationshipsbetween electoral behaviours and social characteristics of inhabitants of the Caen urban areaon the occasion of the 2002's presidential election.
