This thesis is devoted to the correlation of the structural properties at the atomic scale with the magnetic properties of (Pt/Co)3/Pt /IrMn multilayers with perpendicular exchange bias. Such multilayers are used in spintronics. A particular attention has been devoted to the structural characterization of the Co/IrMn interface. This interface plays a determining role in the exchange bias phenomenon, characterized by the exchange bias field HE . Investigation at the nanostructural scale has been carried out using atom probe tomography. Magnetic measurements were performed with a SQUID magnetometer.
