Avec le développement des ordinateurs, la résolution numérique des équations de la physique est devenue un outil de calcul puissant pour établir des prédictions physiques. Mais le recours au calcul numérique entraîne des changements plus profonds pour les théories physiques. Le but de cette thèse est de montrer que le calcul numérique sur machine conduit à une véritable reformulation des théories physiques. Les lois et les principes fondamentaux formulés à l'aide d'équations différentielles sont reformulés de manière discrète.
