The importance of the proxemic approach in resilience engineering : focus on management abilities in reducing uncertainty. The case of a small and medium enterprise faces organizational disarray

Dans le contexte actuel où la pénibilité physique et mentale du travail est de plus en plus posée en lien avec les évolutions récentes des entreprises, la sauvegarde de ces organisations est une préoccupation prégnante pour les décideurs. Dans cette perspective, notre recherche s’inscrit dans le domaine du management de la résilience au sein d’une PME plongée dans l’incertitude suite à son acquisition par un fonds d’investissement. Elle vise à formuler et à promouvoir le développement d’une nouvelle approche de la préservation organisationnelle par l’implication proxémique du management en temps de crise. Dans cette logique, la thèse défendue est que la résilience d’une organisation, c’est-à-dire son aptitude à fonctionner dans des conditions défavorables, variables, prévues ou non, réside dans la capacité de ses acteurs à articuler la gestion des facteurs de risques avec la gestion de leurs propres ressources psychosociales. Par cette recherche, notre objectif est donc d’appréhender les caractéristiques de la résilience dans l’organisation en désarroi en identifiant les principales interactions psycho-affectives ou sociales concernées dans l’émergence d’un tel processus de rebond. Selon notre approche, le tempérament et l’implication des managers de proximité, en tant que tuteurs de résilience, jouent un rôle déterminant dans la formulation et l’apparition de la résilience organisationnelle. Cependant, il n’en demeure pas moins que s’engager dans un projet doctoral en sciences de gestion sur le phénomène de résilience relève d’un véritable défi épistémologique. En effet, l’investigation reste complexe tant la diversité des mécanismes psychosociaux impliqués dans une stratégie de retournement exige la coordination d’acteurs aux compétences et capacités différentes. Le travail a été réalisé en recherche-intervention auprès d’une PME agroalimentaire.In the current environment where the physical and mental hardship are the consequences of the recent corporate developments, safeguarding these organizations is a pregnant concern for managers. To this end, our research is in the field of management of resilience in a firm facing uncertainty following its acquisition by a private equity. This research addresses organization resiliency, aims to promote and develop a new approach to organize resilience engineering. The thesis assumes that the resilience of a system, that is to say its ability to function under varying conditions expected or not, lies in the operators’ ability to articulate the management of risk with the management of their own resources. Through this research, our aim is to understand the phenomenon of organizational resilience by identifying its major psycho-emotional or social characteristics and factors that allow the acquisition of internal resources impregnated in the personal temperament of local managers as tutors’ resilience. Building as a doctoral project the study of the concept of resilience applied to outstanding organization fell to just start a real challenge theory and methodology. Even if the concept of resilience in recent years knows, publications attest a boom from disciplines such as clinical psychology and psychiatry, the attempt to bring rationality of a manager and our approach to understanding phytosociological phenomena such as cooperation, solidarity, cohesion and confidence in relationships was a first important issue
