This thesis is devoted to the control of systems which dynamics can be suitably described by a multimodel approach from an investigation study of a model reference adaptative control performance enhancement. Four multimodel control approaches have been proposed. The first approach is based on an output reference model control design. A successful experimental validation involving a chemical reactor has been carried out. The second approach is based on a suitable partial state model reference predictive control design. Simulation results involving a physical model of a bioreactor have showed that the underlying control system performs as well as an appropriate backstepping control system.
