International audienceLa recherche présentée constitue une approche éthologique et naturaliste des bases comportementales des relations amicales chez le jeune enfant (30 à 48 mois). Cette étude s’appuie sur l’observation directe des interactions sociales entre pairs à l’école maternelle. Le réseau social fait apparaître des relations privilégiées entre certains enfants de la classe, plutôt que des échanges distribués aléatoirement au sein de l’ensemble du groupe. Notamment, certaines de ces associations apparaissent fortes et réciproques, les dyades amies. Ces relations amicales impliquent toutes des partenaires de même sexe.
