International audienceThe aim of this paper is to jointly use the concepts of “milieu” and didactical contract, to enlighten mainly two issues : what are the students in charge of ? what learning opportunities are given to the students ? How is the teacher helping students to use their old knowledge and to construct their new knowledge ? We distinguish two types of sequences : In the first type one can identify a “milieu” with which the students may interact ; in the second one only the teacher and the knowledge related to the didactical contract can validate the actions of the students.
