La formation à distance connaît une forte croissance, et ce dans le but de répondre à une demande importante. Ce type de formation permet à certains publics d’accéder à l’enseignement, ce qui ne leur serait pas possible autrement. En formation à distance, abrégée en FAD, le processus d’enseignement/apprentissage est transformé. La recherche que nous avons menée a comme objectif principal de clarifier les transformations que subit le rôle de l’enseignant quand il intervient dans une formation universitaire à distance.
