Les failles sont des zones de rupture de la roche qui affectent le comportement mécanique et fluide des réservoirs. De nombreuses incertitudes existent sur la géométrie et la topologie des réseaux de failles dues à la résolution et la qualité des données, mais aussi aux lacunes d'informations.
