International audienceIt is usually observed, as well in LOC or in attribution, a positive valuation of internal explanations. However, some data seem to show that this positive valuation is not systematic. The present research consists of two studies situated in this second perspective. In the first study, 172 senior managers answered a questionnaire evocating sanctions that a team's chief may adopt towards his subordinates. Each item was followed by three possible explanations of the sanction: attribution to the subordinates, to team's chief who sanctions, or to independent reasons both to the subordinates and to the team’s chief.
