Ce travail de thèse s'inscrit dans le domaine de l'imagerie photoacoustique en tant que modalité d'imagerie prometteuse pour la médecine. Il a consisté en l'expérimentation du guidage photoacoustique de la thérapie par ultrasons focalisés de haute intensité (HIFU), et en l'étude de la génération par des agents de contraste spécifiques que sont les nanoparticules d'or. Dans un premier temps lors d'expériences in vitro, une sonde conçue à la fois pour l'imagerie photoacoustique et la thérapie ultrasonore a été utilisée pour démontrer la faisabilité du guidage photoacoustique pour traiter par HIFU une zone tissulaire cible.
