Les mécanismes de glissement des dislocations et de maclage se manifestent et interagissent lors de la déformation plastique de nombreux matériaux mais n’induisent cependant pas toujours le même comportement. Le rôle de ces deux mécanismes dans l’hétérogénéité et l’anisotropie de la déformation plastique est discuté dans cette thèse au travers d’une étude multi-échelles de deux matériaux à fort potentiel industriel : un acier austénitique présentant l’effet TWIP (TWinning Induced Plasticity) et le titane-alpha commercialement pur.
