International audienceThe aim of this article is to study the relation to the future of young people in stable employment (with permanent contracts in private sector firms) through their relationship to a career, particularly in proximity management positions. Access to in-house promotion is a structuring dimension of individual work experiences, offering a professional horizon and conditioning forms of commitment in work.
