Au cours de ce travail de thèse, les deux approches permettant la caractérisation de nouveaux agents antileishmaniens ont été suivies : d’une part identification de molécules de synthèse originales et actives, par des méthodes de criblage, et d’autre part recherche de nouvelles cibles thérapeutiques leishmaniennes, faisant appel à des outils de biologie moléculaire, et de protéomique.Dans une première partie consacrée à l’optimisation du criblage antileishmanien de molécules de synthèse, nous avons notamment mis au point et validé une nouvelle méthode applicable aux formes promastigotes.
