This study estimates willingness to pay (WTP) of households in Logan, Utah, for a pilot curbside recycling program that required households to separate fibrous from non-fibrous recyclable materials. We generate a conservative estimate of WTP based on corrections for over-sampling of certain types of households and potential hypothetical bias. We also find that inter alia women, younger, higher income, higher educated, drop-off recycling users, and non-participants in the pilot program are willing to pay more for a CRP patterned after the pilot program.
