Add to ORKGDuring July to November 1991, face-to-face interview studies were conducted with 771 Chinese women between the ages of 40 and 60 years, who were randomly samples from a community in Tapei, Taiwan. The current mean age of the 124 women was 53.8 (S.D. 3.92) years. Statistical analysis of some determinant variables on menopausal age was performed using Student's t-test and P- value of <0.05 was considered significant. The mean menopausal age was 49.8 (S.D. 3.28) years; the median was 50 . The age of menopause ranged from 38 to 55 years.
