The management strategy of pulmonary atresia and intact ventricular septum (PA-IVS) is determined mainly by the morphologic substrates of right ventricle and coronary circulation.1-6 It is generally agreed that establishing continuity between right ventricle and pulmonary trunk is desirable in patients with adequate right ventricular morphology. Before 1990, the results of treatment for patients with PA-IVS were discouraging. In the past few years, survival of those patients has improved because of better understanding of right ventricular morphology and use of prostaglandin.6-8 With the advancement of transcatheter treatment, transcatheter valvotomy for patients with PA-IVS has been increasingly performed.9-20 However, reports on outcomes ...
