I\u27ll Cleantec is operating a composting plant with a high maximum capacity of about 100 t/day in Yorii Town, Saitama. The system adopts a pallet system, with the pallets containing about 2 m3 food garbages/plant materials and dumped over once weekly to supply oxygen and new materials. The system is generally working well, although some points such as malodor/insect pests and incidental malfunctioning could be improved. We have begun a study to devise a means to improve the procedure and make up the system of more stability and more environmental friendliness
