This report presents some experimental results of maneuvering hydrodynamic forces obtained from segmented model tests at finite water depth. The experiments were carried out in order to make clear the shallow water effect on distribution of the nonlinear lateral force component over ship\u27s length. Here, it is assumed that the lateral force on each segment can be expressed by a formula consisting of linear and second order terms. From the experimental results, it was examined that to what degree the second order derivatives correspond to the cross-flow drag coefficients in condition of finite water depth.
