Geologic map of the Dragoon 7 ½ ' Quadrangle, Cochise County, Arizona

The Dragoon Quadrangle is situated between Benson and Willcox in Cochise County, southeastern Arizona. It encompasses the eastern and southern parts of the Little Dragoon Mountains and the flanking piedmont, as well as the northern Gunnison Hills and a small portion of the NW Dragoon Mountains. Geologic mapping was done under the joint State-Federal STATEMAP program, as specified in the National Geologic Mapping Act of 1992, and was jointly funded by the Arizona Geologic al Survey and the U.S. Geological Survey under STATEMAP assistance award #G16AC00294.Documents in the AZGS Documents Repository collection are made available by the Arizona Geological Survey (AZGS) and the University Libraries at the University of Arizona.
