The Mineral Industry of Arizona in 1971

The value of mineral production in Arizona was $981 million, 16 percent below the $1,167 million of 1970. Income from the mineral industry ranked second to manufacturing among sources of income. Copper accounted for $853 million, 87 percent of the total value of minerals produced.
