Feasibility of a Bluetooth Based Structural Health Monitoring Telemetry System

International Telemetering Conference Proceedings / October 22-25, 2001 / Riviera Hotel and Convention Center, Las Vegas, NevadaThe Bluetooth standard is intended to provide short-range (10-100 meter) wireless connectivity between mobile and desktop devices. It was developed as a replacement for short cables, and has the ability to form ad-hoc networks. This paper explores the feasibility of using Bluetooth devices for structural health monitoring telemetry applications.
