The introduction of a cultural art complex into the world market inevitably results in modifications to its original form. This article explores the evolution of the Flamenco art complex as an export, and examines the question of whether the economic viability of this art form comes at the cost of cultural integrity. In congruence with this question, it analyzes how the relationship between artist and consumer has shaped the art complex into its contemporary form.
