Purpose: Drug-drug interactions (DDIs) place a burden on our nation and cause potential harm to patients. Awareness of potential DDIs is essential for safe prescribing. Nurse practitioners (NP) have prescriptive authority throughout the nation, however, little is known about NP prescribing habits. The purpose of this study was to identify NPs' demographic and practice characteristics, DDI knowledge and factors that influence this knowledge.Data Sources: A survey was administered to NP prescribers recruited from a national conference.
