The nature of physiology and medicine in Middle Eastern society is an integral aspect of modern medicine. Especially in American society today, it is easy to prescribe to linear characterizations of the practice of healing and treatment without analyzing how these methods came to be, or if there are alternative, more efficient means. At the very least, medical philosophy of the Middle East should be thoroughly analyzed as to increase awareness and benefit those seeking an alternate view of medicine.
