Hubungan Antara Dukungan Psikososial dengan Kemampuan Self Management Penderita Gagal Jantung

Heart failure is a progressive health problem, where mortality and morbidity are high. Efforts that can be done to minimize the rate of heart failure are self-management. Self-management in heart failure patients is able to maintain psychological and functional functions to remain optimal. To achieve self-management properly the role of family and other people around the patient is needed in the form of psychosocial support. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between psychosocial support and self-management abilities of patients with heart failure. This study is a descriptive correlative study and the sampling technique used the accidental sampling method with a sample of 60 respondents who were hospitalized in the Aster ward of Dr.Moewardi Hospital, Surakarta. The instrument used was SCHFI (Self Care of Heart Failure Index) and MOS-SSS (Medical Outcome Study-Social Support Survey) which were modified and tested for validity.
