Background: The parenting usually entails great joy but can also involve major challenges. Parenting is not always experienced positively, on occasion it can be very stressful. Studies show that early intervention can enhance the parenting role and promote connection between the child and the parent and thus facilitate illness prevention in children. Aim: To illustrate child health, nurses and parenting counselors provided extended home visits for new parents. Method: A qualitative design and the phenomenological approach are used.
