The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the performance of evaporative cooling assisted internally cooled type liquid desiccant unit. The internally cooled type liquid desiccant (ICLD) consists of two channels: primary air and working air channels. Lithium chloride (LiCl) solution and water are sprayed to process air and working air channels respectively. In the primary air channel, absorption of water vapor from process air is conducted by vapor pressure difference between air and solution. As the water evaporated in the working air channel, the sensible cooling is conducted in the primary air channel.
