The purpose of this study is to analyse life cycle embodied carbon emission of apartment buildings using probabilistic analysis method as a part of research for reduction strategy of building embodied carbon emission. To that end, the structures of apartment buildings were divided into wall structure, rigid frame structure, and flat plate structure, and major building materials in terms of carbon emissions were derived. The life cycle scenario including production stage, construction stage, maintenance step, and disposal stage of the major building materials was established for evaluating the life cycle embodied carbon emission of apartment buildings.
