Les étudiants et leur alimentation

Among the social phenomena, food is one of the most studied. Despite a large number of articles detailing the issues it is related to, there was a missing investigated population in this field: the students. This study was divided into four parts. First, the theory of social representation (Moscovici, 1961) was used to describe student’s practices in nutrition. Then, the role of the contents on Internet and social media was described to understand their uses and influence. Finally, the student’s knowledge on nutrition were tested and their consumption of dietary supplement was established. At the end of the analysis, a profile of the student eater was designed, allowing comparisons between gender and between three fields of study.Associée à de nombreux enjeux, l’alimentation a ici été étudiée au travers de quatre principaux aspects en lien avec la vie estudiantine. Dans un premier temps, la théorie des représentations sociales (Moscovici, 1961) a été utilisée pour mieux appréhender les pratiques alimentaires des étudiants. Puis dans un second temps, la diffusion des contenus liés à l’alimentation a été explorée sur Internet et les réseaux sociaux afin de détailler les usages des médias connectés et leur influence. Enfin, il a été fait un état des connaissances nutritionnelles des étudiants ainsi que de leurs consommations de compléments alimentaires. Au terme de ces analyses, un portrait-robot du mangeur estudiantin a été dressé, permettant ensuite de comparer les résultats entre sexes et entre trois domaines d’études
