Die radiologische Schnittbildgebung mittels Comptertomographie (CT) und Magnetresonanztomographie (MRT) interferiert in allen Bereichen des Tumorpatienten- Workups und optimiert letzteres. Die Habilitation fasst mehrere Studien zur radiologisch-onkologischen Schnittbildgebung zusammen. Hinsichtlich der Tumordetektion wurden computer-assistierte Detektionssysteme nicht nur in der Thorax-CT zur Detektion pulmonaler Rundherde, sondern auch in der CT-Kolographie zur Detektion kolorektaler Polypen und Karzinome getestet.
