Ziel dieser Dissertation war es, durch eine gezielte Einflussnahme auf die Oberflächenbeschaffenheit des Zirkondioxides, den Haftverbund zur Verblendkeramik zu erhöhen. Die Oberflächenbearbeitung des Zirkondioxides erfolgte dabei sowohl im teilgesinterten wie auch im endgesinterten Zustand. Als Maßnahme zur Oberflächenbearbeitung wurde das Anstrahlen mit Korund und Feldspatkeramikpulver verschiedener Korngrößen und in verschiedenen Kombinationen gewählt. Biegefestigkeitsmessungen und die Röntgendiffraktometrie bewiesen die Erhöhung der Oberflächenspannung aufgrund der Phasentransformation von der tetragonalen zur monoklinen Kristallstruktur in der Oberfläche des Zirkondioxids.
