In der vorliegenden Arbeit wurde der Zusammenhang zwischen der Hörfähigkeit älterer Menschen und ihrer sprachlichen Leistungsfähigkeit untersucht. Methoden: Im Rahmen der Berliner Altersstudie wurden 747 Probanden untersucht. Die Hörfähigkeit wurde mittels Reintonaudiometrie erfasst und anhand der WHO- Kriterien für Schwerhörigkeit klassifiziert. Die Messung der Sprachfähigkeit erfolgte mittels Boston Naming Test, und zwei Untertest der CERAD-Testbatterie semantische und phonematische Flüssigkeit.
