Antibiotika sind für die Flüssigkonservierung von Sperma von herausragender Bedeutung. Aufgrund der rasanten und weltweiten Entwicklung von Antibiotikaresistenzen im verdünnten Sperma besteht die Notwendigkeit, Alternativen zu konventionellen Wirkstoffen zu entwickeln. Die Anwendung antimikrobieller, synthetischer Peptide als Verdünnerzusatz stellt ein Novum für die Reproduktionsbiologie dar.
