Die Osteoradionekrose (ORN) des Kiefers stellt eine der gravierendsten Komplikationen nach Strahlentherapie im Kopf-Hals-Bereich dar. In dieser Arbeit wurden die Daten von 150 Patienten analysiert, die im Rahmen der Behandlung eines Plattenepithelkarzinoms im Kopf-Hals-Bereich eine primäre oder adjuvante Radio(chemo)therapie erhielten. Die Inzidenz der ORN lag bei einem Nachbeobachtungszeitraum von 6 Jahren bei 24 % (n=36), wobei über 85 % der ORN sich in den ersten 2 Jahren entwickelten und 98 % der ORNsich im Unterkiefer manifestierten.
