International audienceThanks to the growth of Internet of things and use of various sensors embedded in smartphones, individuals can be tracked and monitored all day long. However , the fine understanding of their activities requires semantic models and contex-tual information. The users' trajectories can then be enhanced with semantic meaning. Trajectories can be compared using their spatial, temporal or semantic components. Similar users' behaviour can then be clustered to derive movement patterns. This article presents a new methodology to extract movement patterns from semantic trajectories.
