Nöroblastoma merkezi sinir sistemi tümörlerinden sonra, en yaygın ikinci solid tümördür ve 15 yaş altındaki tanı almış tüm çocukluk çağı kanserlerin %7.2 sinden sorumludur. Nöroblastom (NBL), nöral krestten köken alıp adrenal medulla ve sempatik sinir sistemine hedeflenen nöroektodermal hücrelerin embriyonel bir tümörüdür. Nöroblastom çeşitli klinik ve biyolojik özellikler gösteren, çok sayıda bilinmeyeni olan bir tümördür.
