Mesleksel maruziyetin, inhaler irritan maddeler ile, solunum sistemi üzerine zararlı etkilerinin olabileceği bilinmektedir. Ülkemizde, kızartma yağı dumanına maruz kalmakla ortaya çıkabilecek patolojik ya da klinik durumlar hakkında yapılmış bir çalışma bulunmamaktadır. Amacımız, öncelikle üniversitemiz bünyesinde kızartma işlemi yapılan mutfaklarda, yapım ve dağıtım aşamalarında çalışanlarda, periferik ve iletici havayollarındaki etkilenmeyi araştırmaktır. Olgu grubumuzda, sigaradan bağımsız olarak, mesleksel koşulların solunum sistemini etkileme potansiyeli olabileceğini saptadık.
