PURPOSE: To describe toxicity, biochemical outcome and quality of life after MRI guided focal high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR-BT) in a single fraction of 19 Gy for localized prostate cancer. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Between May 2013 and April 2016, 30 patients were treated by MRI-guided focal HDR-BT. Patients with visible tumour on MRI were included. All patients were ≥65 years, T-stage <T3, Gleason ≤7, PSA <10 ng/mL and IPSS <15. Focal irradiation was delivered in a single fraction of 19 Gy to the D95 of the clinical target volume.
