Estimating the Live Weight Using Some Body Measurements in Saanen Goats Reared in Bolu Conditions

Bu araştırmada, Bolu koşullarında yetiştirilen Saanen keçilerinde bazı beden ölçülerinden yararlanılarak canlı ağırlık istatistiki metotlarla tahmin edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Özel bir işletmede yetiştirilen 70 baş dişi Saanen keçi bu çalışmanın canlı materyalini oluşturmuştur. Keçiler bir kez doğum yapmış 2-2,5 yaşlı sağmal grup ve ilk defa tohumlanacak 1 yaşlı grup olmak üzere ikiye ayrılmıştır. Hayvanlarda cidago yüksekliği, göğüs çevresi, beden uzunluğu, göğüs derinliği, incik çevresi ve canlı ağırlık parametreleri incelenmiştir. Elde edilen verilerde SPSS-11 Windows programı kullanılarak regresyon ve korelasyon analizi yapılmıştır. Birinci grup için canlı ağırlık, göğüs çevresi, incik çevresi, cidago yüksekliği, beden uzunluğu ve göğüs derinliğine ait ortalamalar sırası ile; 55,37 kg, 91,57 cm, 9,32 cm, 66,94 cm, 109,75 cm ve 32,55 cm bulunmuştur. İkinci grup için aynı ölçülere ait ortalamalar sırası ile; 41,03 kg, 84,00 cm, 8,86 cm, 62,07 cm, 101,55 cm ve 30,27 cm olarak bulunmuştur. Birinci grupta canlı ağırlık ile göğüs çevresi, incik çevresi, cidago yüksekliği, beden uzunluğu, ve göğüs derinliği arasında yüksek derecede (P< 0.01) ilişki, ikinci grupta canlı ağırlık ile göğüs çevresi ve beden uzunluğu arasında yüksek derecede (P<0.01) ilişki tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmada Saanen keçilerinde beden ölçülerinden canlı ağırlığın tahmini için denklem ele alınan beş beden ölçüsü kullanıldığında birinci grup için; y = -151,295+1,067*x1+3,262*x2+0,167*x3+0,604*x4+0,254*x5 İkinci grup için; y = -64,753+0,863*x1+0,717*x2+(-0,029)*x3+0,207*x4+0,254*x5 şeklinde bulunmuştur.This research is carried out to investigate the estimation of the live weight in Saanen Goats reared in Bolu conditions by statistical methods. Seventy Saanen Goats bred in a private farm were used in this study as material. The goats were divided into two groups. The first group included the goats 2-2,5 years age at the first lactation period while the second group included the goats ready to be inseminated for the first time. Wither height (HW), heart girth (HG), body length (BL), chest depth (CD), shank circumference and live weight were measured. Regression and correlation analysis of the data were made by using SPSS 11 for Windows. The average live weight, heart girth, shank circumference, wither height, body length and chest depth were calculated as 55,37 kg, 91,57 cm, 9,32 cm, 66,94 cm, 109,75 cm and 32,55 cm respectively for the first group where the same parametres were calculated as 41,03 kg, 84,00 cm, 8,86 cm, 62,07 cm, 101,55 cm and 30,27 cm respectively for the second group.
