Sarkoidoz sebebi bilinmeyen multisistemik bir hastalıktır. En sık akciğerler etkilenir. Bunu sıklık sırasına göre lenf nodları, gözler, cilt, karaciğer ve dalak izler. Bilateral hiler lenf adenopati (LAP) en sık görülen radyolojik paterndir. Akciğer infiltrasyonu sıkça eşlik eder. Abdominal tutulum nadirdir. Radyolojik görünüm lenfadenopati, splenomegali, hepatomegali, hipovaskuler karaciger ve dalakta noduler lezyonlar şeklindedir Otopsi serilerinin %50-80’inde karaciğer, dalak tutulumu histolojik olarak kanıtlanmasına rağmen, bu organların disfonksiyonu sık değildir ve sadece dalak tutulumu nadir görülür.
