Le poids de l’épiploon (rapporté au DNA) de 5 chèvres en 9e semaine de lactation est en relation inverse avec la quantité de lait produite au cours des 2 premiers mois de lactation. Cette relation semble résulter d’un dépôt de lipides dans le tissu adipeux, d’autant plus précoce que les animaux produisent moins de lait.
