1964: a media, civilian and military coup in Brazil

In 2014, 50 years after the coup that brought down President João Goulart, Brazil is still trying to come to terms with its past as it prepares to hold presidential elections and to organise football’s next World Cup, a sport that served the military regime well in 1970
