This paper presents a method of designing the first order compensator to place the closed-loop poles of the linear structured uncertain system inside a specified region. The compensator parameters are obtained such that the eigenvalues of the closed-loop system belong to the desired eigenvalues under ail admissible parameter variations. It turns out that the relations are easily computable and the compensator parameters can be determined in a very simple way. A numerical example illustrates the proposed procedure
