Experimental and numerical investigation of relative permeability and oil recovery from the porous reservoir are described for short and long core samples. The relative permeability ratios, which are function of water saturation, obtained from laboratory core flooding experiments have been used for prediction of oil recovery through numerical simulation of non-dimensional Buckley–Leverett equation. The simulation results for oil recovery compared well with recovery results obtained from core flooding experiments.© Elsevie
