Formation of mixed Fe/W/S complexes bearing oxo and acetylide ligands : synthesis and characterization of [(eta(5)-C5Me5)W2Fe2(CO)(6)(O)(2)(mu-O)(mu(3)-S)(2) (eta(1):eta(2)-CCR)] (R=Ph, (Me)C=CH2) and [(eta(5)-C5Me5)W2Fe2(CO)(6)(O)(mu-O)(mu(3)-S)(2) (eta(1):eta(2)-CCR)(eta(2)-RCCH)] (R=Ph, (Me)C=CH2)

Reaction of the acetylide-bearing oxo-peroxo complex [(eta(5)-C5Me5) W(O-2)(O) (eta(1)-CCR)] (R = Ph, (Me) C = CH2) with [Fe2W(CO)(10)(mu(3)-S)(2)] yielded [(eta(5)-C5Me5) W2Fe2(CO)(6)(O)(2)(mu-O)(mu(3)-S)(2)(eta(1):eta(2)- CCR)]. When the reaction was carried out in presence of free acetylene, RC = CH (R = Ph, (Me) C = CH2), clusters [(eta(5)-C5Me5) W2Fe2(CO)(6)(O)(mu-O)(mu(3)-S)(2)(eta(1): eta(2)- CCR)(eta(2)-RCCH)] were obtained. Structures of one of each type of cluster were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction methods
