PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA WAYANG KARAKTER BINATANG (WAKARBIN) PADA MATERI BERCERITA SISWA KELAS 5 SEKOLAH DASAR

Learning media is a means of conveying a message of learning to the students. Diverse learning media is also used on the learning activities grade 5 students at SDN Malangsari II. One of the learning media being used i.e. media puppet cartoon on language learning Indonesia, but the media is less appropriate to the characteristics of a good media. First, the media puppet cartoon used is not durable. Second, the puppet cartoon that used only looks at one side. Third, the size of the puppet cartoon used is small. Based on the analysis of the problem as well as needs analysis, as do the research. Researchers aim to develop media puppet character beast (wakarbin) on the material tells the grade 5 elementary school. This research uses the model of research and development, namely analyze ADDIE (analysis), design (design), development (development), implementation (implementation) and evaluation (evaluation). The subject of this study, namely grade 5 SDN Malangsari II with a total of 15 students and SDN Sumberkepuh IV with a total of 11 students. Data collection techniques are used i.e., interview, observation, question form, documentation and tests. Media puppet character beast (wakarbin) expressed a very decent used as media of instruction material tells students grade 5 elementary school. This is evidenced by the validation done by media experts reached a percentage of 85% as well as validation by experts the material reaches a percentage of 96%. The average value of the grade 5 students cognitive SDN Malangsari II reached 92 and SDN Sumberkepuh IV reached 87. The average value of psychomotor storytelling grade 5 SDN Malangsari II reaches 91 and SDN Sumberkepuh IV reached 88.5. The results of the now students against the use of animal characters puppet media (wakarbin) in the SDN Malangsari II amounted to 93% and on SDN Sumberkepuh IV of 98% as well as the results of the use of media teachers question form in 90% of Malangsari SDN and on SDN Sumberkepuh IV of 93%
