Concrete electrical resistivity has been verified as one of the most significant indicators in the evaluation of steel corrosion in concrete. It is also a most effective parameter in the design and operation of cathodic protection for reinforced concrete structure. In this study, an effort had been made to develop a mathematical model based on Archie’s law to characterize the coupled effects of water and chloride contents on the concrete electrical resistivity; then the developed model was verified by MATLAB using the experimental data from literature and our own experiment.
