The research goal is to investigate if mono-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (MEHP), a chemical that releases from the plastic matrixes and finds its way to the human body, poses a negative effects of on the uterus, relating this toxicity to pregnancy defects. Since the uterus is formed by different cell types, I need to separate the epithelial from the stromal fraction to evaluate the effects in an independent manner. In this picture, the presence of the stromal cells, characterized by the expression of protein vimentin (stained in green), is detected in the culture of epithelial cells, identified by the presence of cytokeratin (protein marked in red), showing that the isolation was not complete.Ope
