Tick Surveillance and Control: Summary of Program Operations for Northeast States

The Northeast Regional Center for Excellence in Vector-Borne Diseases is supported through Cooperative Agreement Number 1U01CK000509-01 between the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Cornell UniversityThe Northeast Regional Center for Excellence in Vector-Borne Diseases (NEVBD) collaborated with our partner Regional Centers of Excellence in Vector-Borne Diseases (MCE-VBD, PacVec, WCGVBD, and SER-COE-VBD) to develop and distribute an online survey to gauge nationwide involvement in tick surveillance and control activities, and assess barriers to the development of related programs across various agencies and jurisdictions. NEVBD conducted an in-depth analysis of the responses from states in the Northeast region of the US.
